Urn-shaped, thick red-purple sepals slightly reflex to reveal a creamy yellow inside. Flowers early summer to early autumn. As a group the texensis hybrids are quite heat tolerant but some are prone to mildew. Take early precaution by spraying with a fungicide monthly from early summer.
